2011 November Nine profile: Chip-leader Martin Staszco

Each year the final table of the World Series of Poker brings together an interesting mix of poker players, and 2011 is no different in that regard. With three top US Poker Pros; four, young, talented, international players that are looking to make a name for themselves; and two older, yet seemingly more inexperienced, players rounding out the November Nine.

Winning in Online Blackjack

When players sit down at their computers and log in to play in an online casino, they want to win. Really that is not all that surprising. I mean, who wants to sit down and play a game with the intent to lose? No one. What does make sense is knowing which online casino game gives players the best shot at winning, and that is online blackjack.

Aside from having the best house edge, which is around 2% to 4% before strategy and 0.5% after using basic strategy, players have the best shot of winning each round out of all the online casinos games.

Now bear in mind that the house still has the edge, even if a player is playing perfect basic strategy, the house still has the edge.

Stiff Hands in Blackjack and What to do With Them

Stiff hands are like bad days. They happen and they suck and there really is not a thing you can do about them except to push on and play them out. Unless of course they are one of the four hands that you can surrender, in which case surrender and wait until the next round and hope for better cards.

So what do you do with stiff hands when you are dealt them?

Well, if it is a hard 13, 14, 15 or 16 your hitting or standing will be split in half. If the blackjack dealer is showing a 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 you will stand. This is because it would be too easy for you to hit and bust. At least with standing you have the shot at winning if the dealer busts.
