Fashion trends for the latest spring and summer wear

Following fashion trends gets a bit muddled if you’re trying to emulate a celebrity who walks the red carpet in a designer label gown. You can take tips from the colour choice or styling in general but trying to duplicate the look never really works even if its high street fashion. Even Lydia Bright of TOWIE needs to learn that trying to pull off the beige Reiss ensemble which the new Duchess of Cambridge made famous in her classic style is not a bright idea.

It is easier to follow the trends from autumn and winter of 2010 into spring and summer of 2011 if you simply adapt what you liked most back then. So if a dress in black lace caught your fancy back then, play with pastels or warmer tones. If you like being noticed in bright reds then try out the bright summery colour palette for hot pink, tangerine, electric blue or even turquoise; these colours will stand out in a crowd and yet you’ll look cool.

Run a search for some of the hottest designers and their fashion shows for last autumn and winter ready-to-wear outfits for ideas on what styles can work for you. If you’re looking for understated urban chic which will do well for office wear then Stella McCartney is the one to watch. Dreamy whites, nudes and even florals will do well if you’re planning on a European or tropical holiday this summer.

If you’re fond of designer labels, just as everyone else, then hop into the bingo lobby of Posh Bingo. They’re running a classy promotion from Mondays to Fridays for a limited period. All you have to do is be there and look out for the banner when they’re name-dropping and email the ‘name-drop’ of the day to before midnight. If you’re among the first 25 players to get in then you’ll be winning 5000jps for free.
