A few players to keep an eye on that you may be unfamiliar with are:

  • Vladimir Beyne Geshkenbein – The Team PKR Pro won the EPT Snowfest in 2011 and is a wild, aggressive player, who is extremely dangerous when he has chips.
  • Sorel Mizzi – whatever you think of Mizzi personally, his poker ability has never been questioned, and with a big stack he could go very deep in the Main Event.
  • Shaun Deeb – Deeb has finally been having success in live tournaments in 2011, and a deep run in the Main Event could propel him from online star, to poker star.
  • Olivier Busquet – Busquet is one of the few anonymous high-stakes poker players in the world, and his online grinding background should help him immensely with the uber-long Main Event grind.
