Mardi Gras’ VIPs celebrated Independence Day on July 2nd in true Mardi Gras Style – with a Party!  The Party was themed, “Tiki Bar in Paradise” and it took place outside “Trackside” with an air-conditioned tent, beautiful tropical beach décor with flowers and Palm trees, crab races and picture taking with parrots.  Guests enjoyed the Jimmy Buffet style beach sounds of Jimmy Stowe and the Stowaways and were also treated to a sumptuous buffet of BBQ chicken, pulled pork, pasta salad, jambalaya and apple cobbler.  Margaritas were served non-stop at the Tiki Bars.  The party was from 5pm to 8pm but many guests stayed later to dance to the Stowaways and stay for the Fireworks display that was open to the public at 10pm.

Guests felt like they we’re partying in paradise with Jimmy Stowe & the Stowaways as they sailed into Mardi Gras with an incredible mix of trop-rock tunes. With lead singer Jimmy Stowe at the helm, this dynamic party/dance band performs all the “Songs You Know By Heart” and put on a amazing stage show. Frequent appearances with Jimmy Buffett have established their national notoriety. With a reputation for great music, the Stowaways have become the #1 choice for fun entertainment among Ft Lauderdale special event coordinators.
